| Resumo | A tese tem como objetivo examinar o que tem sido produzido, mais recentemente, na Educação em Engenharia Civil, no que se refere aos jogos de linguagem matemáticos nela praticados. Os aportes teóricos que sustentam a investigação vinculam-se às teorizações de Ludwig Wittgenstein, especificamente àquelas que correspondem à sua fase de maturidade, cuja obra mais conhecida é “Investigações Filosóficas”. O material de pesquisa é composto por: trabalhos dos Anais do Congresso Brasileiro de Educação em Engenharia (COBENGE), especificamente os exemplares disponibilizados entre os anos de 2014 e 2018; e por entrevistas realizadas com cinco pesquisadores, que também atuavam como docentes em um Curso de Graduação em Engenharia Civil. O exercício analítico sobre esse material possibilitou concluir que: a) em sintonia com o mundo tecnocientificizado em que vivemos, a educação em Engenharia Civil abrange, para a resolução de situações-problema da Área, a transmissão de conhecimentos relativos ao uso de softwares já disponíveis ou à produção de novos softwares; b) os jogos de linguagem matemáticos utilizados na Educação em Engenharia Civil têm como característica comum o uso do simbolismo matemático, sendo esse simbolismo o que torna possível expressá-los formalmente, com as regras que lhe dão sustentação; e c) a formação do engenheiro civil, na atualidade, está fortemente alinhada com a lógica neoliberal, marcada pelo empreendedorismo, competitividade, processos de gestão e acesso ao mercado de trabalho.; |
| Abstract | The thesis aims to examine what has been produced, more recently, in Civil Engineering Education, in what refers to the mathematical language games played in it. The theoretical contributions that support the research are linked to the theorization of Ludwig Wittgenstein, specifically those that correspond to his stage of maturity, whose best known work is "Philosophical Investigations". The research material is composed of: articles from the Brazilian Congress Annals on Engineering Education (COBENGE), specifically the copies made available between 2014 and 2018; and by interviews with five researchers, who also worked as teachers in a Civil Engineering Graduation Course. The analytical exercise on this material made it possible to conclude that: a) in line with the techno-scientific world in which we live, Civil Engineering education encompass, for the resolution of situation-problem in the Area, the transmission of knowledge related to the use of softwares already available or to the production of new free softwares; b) the mathematical language games used in Civil Engineering Education have as a common characteristic the use of mathematical symbolism, being this symbolism what makes it possible to express them formally, with the rules that support it; and c) the formation of the civil engineer, nowadays, is strongly aligned with the neoliberal logic, marked by entrepreneurshi; |
